  • A federal judge’s order blocking President Trump’s revised travel (Muslim) ban.
  • A resolution sponsored by, among others, several House Republicans recognizing human activities’ contribution to climate change and resolving to create and support economically viable mitigation efforts.
  • President Trump’s proposed budget, entirely eliminating funding for dozens of smaller agencies and programs such as the National Endowment for the Arts, money for public broadcasting, programs to combat climate change and assistance for low-income Americans, including the Meals on Wheels program.
