  • FBI Director James Comey testified before the House Intelligence Committee, asserting that the FBI was investigating the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia and repudiating President Trump’s unsubstantiated and seemingly unhinged allegation that the Obama administration had wiretapped his New York offices.
  • The Associated Press reported that President Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, “secretly worked for a Russian billionaire to advance the interests of Russian President Vladimir Putin a decade ago and proposed an ambitious political strategy to undermine anti-Russian opposition across former Soviet republics.”
  • House Republicans delayed a vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act because of a lack of agreement among Republicans on the proposed replacement bill (American Health Care Act or Trumpcare).
